The Start!

Hey! My name is Shreyas; I live in India; this is my first blog. This is the start of something new for me; I have never done creative writing before. In my blogs, I will post and share my art, some photos of the sky I take almost every day, and sometimes, talk about how my life is. Today we will start with my latest art piece; I mainly do sketching; I have been sketching since 9th class, I never knew it would be so fun. This is my latest piece!

I may not be terrific, but I am proud of this piece; it took me around 3 hours. I never just sketch; it is a hobby, so I usually have another window open with a Youtube video or a Twitch stream; I start with looking at inspirations. I typically draw things related to nature like animals and flowers. You can see the lion here, it was a nostalgic drawing as I drew a similar piece in 9th grade, but I submitted it for grading and never got it back. I started with the face structure. I made this on a small sheet, so it was easy. I use 2B or 3B pencils for the structure and HB for the hair. For blending and light sketching, I use 2B. As it was a small sheet, this was easy to make. I sketched every week in 9th grade because we had art classes in school. Still, with the lockdown and situation here in India, The work piles up. The loneliness really stresses an extrovert like me. I try to draw every 2 weeks. Thank you for reading this, and I am sorry this is not something like a professional blog.
